When NFL star’s have something to say about how talented current players are you must listen.
Last year, Lebron James had praise for former Arkansas basketball standout Jordan Walsh for his athletic ability.
Now, Antonio Cromartie is praising current Razorback cornerback commit, Jaden Allen.
“Listen @RazorbackFB y’all have a special kid. He can play anywhere in the secondary!!! His mindset will set him apart from the rest!!! Freakish Athleticism!!!,” said Cromartie.
The former Florida Seminole great was drafted with the 19th pick of the 2006 NFL Draft. During his second season in 2007 he was selected to the All-Pro team in 2006.
The 6’2 CB was chosen to four Pro Bowl’s in 2007, 2012, 2013 and 2014. He finished his career with 416 tackles, 31 interceptions and six total touchdowns.
The Reaction
“It’s the highest compliment I could get…” said Allen “He actually played DB at the highest level and was one of the best to do it. It means more than any star or ranking ever could. Definitely made me focus even more on my craft.”
Highly sought after recruit
Allen is a 6’2 cornerback with a high three-star rating according to 247sports’ composite rankings. He is the 577th overall prospect in the country, 53rd overall CB in the 2024 class and 98th ranked prospect in the Lonestar State.
The 6’0 170 pounder has a brother (B.J.) who also plays college football at the University of Texas. The elder Allen was the 117th overall prospect in the country during the 2022 cycle. It’s obvious that talent runs deep in their family.
Cromartie is currently the defensive backs coach at Texas A&M. However, there is no announced offer from the Aggies to Allen. He was offered by Alabama, Texas, Tennessee, LSU and USC before committing to Arkansas.
