Razorback Athletics has seen an uptick in success in recent years under athletic director Hunter Yurachek.
On Wednesday, the notorious list maker, Big Game Boomer, released his top athletic department lists amongst college sports. A few smaller schools like Quinnipac, Northern Arizona, Air Force, Dayton and Princeton were honored with a top-50 placement.
The Razorbacks found themselves nestled right into the top ten.
Gone are the days of Arkansas settling for mediocrity under Jeff Long. Winning is the only way of getting the job done and Yurachek will not settle for less.
Razorback fans saw their football team finish 7-6 with a win in the Liberty Bowl over upstart Kansas. Despite a disappointing season, Arkansas still likes their position in the wild SEC.
In soccer, the Razorback women finished the season with a 13-4-5 overall record and a berth in the fourth round of the NCAA tournament against Florida State.
The Women’s Basketball team made an appearance in the National Invitational Tournament once again. While the Men’s Basketball team reached the Sweet Sixteen once again.
Both Men’s and Women’s Track and Field programs won national championships during the spring. They continue to set the standard in their world of college athletics.
For Arkansas Softball, they would eventually lose in the regional round of the NCAA Tournament while hosting at Bogle Park. The ladies finished with a 40-19 record and was a top 25 team for the entirety of the season.
After fighting through injuries, the Diamond Hogs fought to a regional host appearance in the NCAA Tournament this spring. Despite missing the Super Regionals for the first time since 2017, the Razorbacks showed promise and potential to be a player on the national scale for more years to come.
Although it may be a long hot summer, Razorback sports season will soon return. Will they move up on the rankings after 2023-24?
