There’s no question that this NBA legacy is being recruited hard by Arkansas and Eric Musselman. The family has a relationship dating back to Musselman’s days in the NBA. His father, Jason, played in the league for a very long time after being drafted with the fifth overall pick in the 2001 Draft.
The younger Richardson took his initial visit to Fayetteville during the 2022 football season opener against Cincinnati.
From Bishop-Gorman (Las Vegas, NV) High School, the 50th overall player in the 2024 class has Arkansas hot on his trail. Richardson is having an exceptional Peach Jam and could rise in the next recruiting evaluation period due to performances this summer.
He has quality size for a point guard at the college level weighing in at 6’3 180-pounds. His top eight schools are a mix of schools that have established themselves as powers or have been successful in the past. Besides the Razorbacks, Alabama, Michigan State, USC, Cincinnati, San Diego State, Virginia and Stanford.
During opening day at Peach Jam, Richardson scored 25 points. He displayed tough shot making ability and lights out shooting behind the arc going 3-4.
In game one, he scored 21 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Game three saw him shoot 7-11 from the field for 22 points. Richardson was an efficient 5-6 from the stripe and 3-6 from 3.
Most folks have him pegged to play for Tom Izzo and Michigan State. However, a few sources have said Arkansas remains in great shape.
