As expected, Arkansas forward Jordan Walsh officially announced that he will remain in the 2023 NBA Draft. Walsh’s decision was first confirmed by Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype.

Walsh is one of two Razorbacks who had until midnight Wednesday to withdraw and return to school. Devo Davis was the other and is returning for a senior season.

The former McDonald’s All-American averaged 7.1 PTS, 3.9 REB, 0.9 AST, 1.1 STL, 43.3 FG% and 27.8 3PT% in one season with Arkansas. He struggled to find his role and contribute consistently until late in the year.

Walsh bolstered his draft stock following a string of impressive performances in the SEC and NCAA Tournaments. Two weeks ago, he had another strong showing at the NBA Draft Combine, leading to another jump in his draft projections. Currently, the consensus projection for Walsh is an early second round pick.

After Walsh and missing out on Ron Holland, Arkansas has a big need for a versatile forward on next year’s roster. They now have one open spot to fill that need ahead of the 2023-2024 season.
