Arkansas basketball made the final eight for one of the most talented prospects in the 2024 recruiting class on Tuesday afternoon. Jase Richardson, son of NBA legend Jason Richardson, shared his final eight schools which included the Razorbacks.

Richardson, a 6-2, 164-pound combo guard, listed Arkansas alongside Alabama, Cincinnati, Michigan State, San Diego State, Stanford, USC and Virginia. The Las Vegas native is currently rated a four-star, Top-50 prospect by every major recruiting outlet.

Richardson visited Arkansas this past September and got to experience a football gameday in Fayetteville. Following that weekend, he came away impressed with what Eric Musselman and the Arkansas basketball program had to offer.

“I enjoyed my visit. It was fun to see the gameday atmosphere and how invested the fans are. I could see myself being part of the this program,” Richardson said last September. “I’m highly interested in Arkansas, but right now it’s too early in the recruiting process for me to say when I’ll be back. I’m looking forward to continuing to build my relationship with the staff.”

As mentioned earlier, his father, Jason, is an NBA legend. Jason Richardson played for Michigan State for two seasons before enjoying a storied 14-year professional career with six different teams. His first stint in the NBA was with the Golden State Warriors where he played under Eric Musselman from 2002-2004.

Currently, Arkansas does not hold any commitments for the 2024 recruiting class.
