The Arkansas football team has announced that sophomore cornerback Quincey McAdoo was hospitalized after being involved in a car accident on Monday. According to the brief statement posted to the team’s Twitter account, he is in stable condition.

“Yesterday morning, Quincey McAdoo was involved in an automobile accident. He was transported to Washington Regional Hospital, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries,” the team’s statement read. “He is in stable condition and recovering. Our sole focus now is supporting Quincey during his recovery.”

McAdoo is a Clarendon (Ark.) native and arrived in Fayetteville as part of the 2022 recruiting class. Out of high school, he was rated as a composite four-star prospect according to 247Sports.com. He was originally recruited to Arkansas as a receiver, but was moved to cornerback before last season and made an impact towards the end of the year.

As a true freshman, McAdoo started four games where he recorded 30 tackles, one sack, two interceptions, four pass breakups and a crucial blocked punt against Liberty. Recently, he had missed time during the spring with an undisclosed injury. However, he returned in time to play in Arkansas’ Spring Game on April 15.
