Arkansas Football: Injured Hog Travels For Southwest Classic

Will he play or will he not is the question.

After not traveling with the team last week at LSU, Raheim ‘Rocket’ Sanders did make it to Arlington for tomorrow’s game against Texas A&M, according to a tweet from the official Razorback Football X (Twitter) account.

The junior tailback said he was ready to make his return to the gridiron while on Sirius XM’s College Football channel on Friday.

“I’m really just trying to take [it] a day at a time. I’m feeling good. Actually practiced in full pads on Tuesday. Practiced yesterday and practiced today as well. So just feeling good and trying to get back in that routine and just back to myself,” Sanders said. “I definitely feel like I’ll be ready for this weekend. Just being on the sideline as well was an honor but just really like I said staying positive and ready to get back out there.”

Since sitting out for the past three weeks due to knee swelling, the Hogs have fallen to 2-2 on the season. But, a return of their star tailback is very welcome. Especially after a breakout performance from the running game last week in Baton Rouge.

Arkansas hopes to put away a decade of trouble inside AT&T Stadium when it comes to facing the Aggies. Texas A&M has won all but one game in the series since they joined the SEC in 2012. The Southwest Classic will air on the SEC Network on Saturday with the broadcast set to kickoff at 11 AM.
