Arkansas Football lands commitment from Jeremy Cook

Arkansas football has added its 18th commitment of the 2024 cycle, this one coming from Hoover, Ala. product Jeremy Cook. He announced his commitment via Twitter (X) with a statement about his decision.

“This process has been long in selecting the best place for me but now I know my calling,” his statement read. “I’d like to give a special thanks to all the schools that offered me and that was willing to take a chance on me and give me an opportunity. I’m grateful. Thank you everyone who invested in me with that being said for the next 4-5 years I will be committing to the University of Arkansas.”

Cook is a 6-foot-3, 195-pound defensive back who had spent some time at the “Hogwild Hangout” over the weekend. He’s currently unranked by 247Sports, Rivals and On3, but he could shock a lot of people at the next level with his skill.

Hawg Country was able to catch up with him about his visit over the weekend. “It was amazing,” said Cook. “I really feel at home.” He went on to say that the Razorbacks plan to use him as a boundary corner and safety. “They’re getting a diamond in the rough,” Cook said when asked about what Arkansas fans should expect. “I am not only bringing leadership, but persistency to the team.”

The addition of Cook means that Arkansas will have seven defensive backs in the 2024 recruiting class. Four-star safety JuJu Pope is the only other safety committed in this class.
