Arkansas football has picked up their sixth commitment of the 2024 recruiting class in the form of four-star cornerback Jaden Allen. The Aledo, Texas native announced his decision via Twitter on Friday afternoon.

Allen chose the Razorbacks over Alabama, Tennessee, LSU, Texas, USC, Michigan State and others. He was initially committed to Texas before de-committing back in February. His older brother, B.J. Allen, currently plays defensive back for the Longhorns. Arkansas was reportedly the first team to reach out to Allen after his de-commitment from Texas, which may have played a crucial role.

The 5-11, 160-pound corner is rated a four-star prospect by Rivals.com, making him the fifth Razorback commitment to hold a four-star rating in the Class of 2024. He joins Kavion Henderson, KJ Jackson, Noreel White and Julius Pope as four-stars. Dion Stutts is the only other commitment and is rated as a three-star prospect. Allen attended last Saturday’s spring game and will return for an official visit later this month.

Allen’s commitment has helped raise Arkansas’ 2024 class ranking across the three major recruiting outlets. The Razorbacks currently have the 16th ranked class according to On3.com, 18th according to Rivals.com and 22nd according to 247Sports.com.

Next year’s recruiting class is shaping up to be an impressive haul for Sam Pittman and they likely aren’t even done today.

Four-star recruits Charleston Collins and Courtney Crutchfield are set to announce their decisions later today. Arkansas is reportedly in a great spot to land both after having hosted them on visits recently.
