FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The 2026 class is already one of the best in the nation. With two prospects likely to be ranked as five-stars when the evaluation period for sophomores begin, the Hogs will be comfortably sitting at the top of the rankings.

One of the biggest names in the 2026 class is Jackson Cantwell. The Nixa, (Mo.) native is the fourth best player in the 2026 class with a composite score of .9504, according to 247sports.

Cantwell already holds over 20 offers including Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Florida State, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and many other quality power five schools. Both of his parents, Christian Cantwell and Teri Steer were both Olympic throwers with his father earning a silver medal at the 2008 games in Beijing.

The 6-foot-7.5, 300 pound offensive tackle received his initial offer from the Hogs on March 4 after attending ‘Junior Day’ in Fayetteville during the offseason.
