Arkansas is set to host a pair of transfers this week.

According to sources, Francis Sherman and Keivie Rose are expected to be in Fayetteville for visits.

The Razorbacks are still thin at tight end and Sherman would be a good prospect to fill the void. A former walk-on, Sherman (6’3, 234 pounds) spent three seasons at Louisville recording 4 receptions for 32 yards and one touchdown.

Var’Keyes Gumms re-committed to Arkansas on Sunday following a visit to California-Berkeley. Francis skill set is more of a blocking tight end. With the Hogs going more 12 and 13 personnel this season under new offensive coordinator, Dan Enos, an addition of Francis would be worth the visit.

With depth at defensive tackle being an issue this spring, Arkansas is bringing in Rose from the transfer portal. The former Louisiana Tech star spent the past four seasons with the Bulldogs.

The 6’4 303 pound defensive tackle starred in Conference USA last season with a first team all-conference performance. He finished with 24 tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 2 sacks.

For his career, Rose recorded tackles, 9.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks. He reported several Power Five conference offers including Arkansas, Missouri, Virginia Tech, TCU, Ole Miss and Colorado.

The Razorbacks boast the ninth best transfer portal class this offseason, according to 247sports. In the month of April, the Razorbacks received a commitment from Maryland defensive tackle Anthony “Tank” Booker.
