Arkansas finds themselves in the thick of things for a highly touted instate product again. Little Rock Parkview’s Dallas Thomas is one of the elite forwards in not only the Natural State but the country.

247sports ranking system has him rated the 57th overall product in the country for the class of 2024. Thomas is the ninth best power forward and second ranked player in Arkansas. He is currently behind fellow central Arkansas star Annor Boateng of Little Rock Central.

The 6’7 170 pound forward has offers from a few of the elite programs in college basketball including Arkansas, Auburn and Houston. TCU, Texas A&M and Illinois are also favorites to land Thomas.

Thomas released his top five schools via Twitter on Thursday.

Thomas recently interviewed with Stockrisers and had this to say about Arkansas and Eric Musselman:

“Basically their pitch was that they develop pros on and off the court. Development is something that’s big for me and my family. My relationship with Muss is solid, we’ve talked a couple of times but our whole thing was building a relationship with each other and going from there.”

Missouri has received an official visit from Thomas. While Arkansas and Memphis have hosted him for a pair of unofficials.

With Musselman’s admiration of long, active guards and forwards could make Thomas a priority at Arkansas.

Missouri made a huge leap in year one under first year head coach Dennis Gates. The Tigers have recruited extremely well and made the NCAA Tournament after a 12-21 record last season.

Razorback Basketball bas recruited very well under Musselman to keep their talented instate players home. The state of Arkansas has produced NBA talent like Moses Moody, Isaiah Joe and Jaylin Williams since Musselman arrived back in 2019. The Hogs also have Nick Smith, Jr. and Davonte Davis with a shot of being drafted this summer.

The one question is will the Razorbacks continue to have success in recruiting what their state has to offer?
