Another day another contact out of the transfer portal for Eric Musselman.

Arkansas has contacted Texas Tech transfer Jaylon Tyson. The

The 6’6 210 pound guard averaged 10.7 points, 6.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.4 steals on 48.3-percent from the field, 40.2-percent from three and 72.3-percent from the line.

During his high school career, Tyson earned first-team TAPPS all-state and district Most Valuable Player accolades after averaging 22.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 2.1 steals per game… Tyson averaged 23.3 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game during the run to the state title as a junior.

As a recruit, he was ranked as the 34th prospect in the nation for the 2021 class by Rivals, 35th by 247 Sports Composite and 42nd by ESPN.

Tyson began his career at Texas but played minimal minutes for the Longhorns.

There’s been plenty of clamor amongst the fan base for the staff to go after a big man. However, it seems that they are content with the current group of 4s and 5s currently on the roster.
