Arkansas fans will never let Chad Morris live down his abysmal two years in Fayetteville. That’s even more apparent after Morris’ name began trending on Twitter (X) as Clemson was upset 28-7 by Duke on Monday night.

In the offseason, Morris returned to Clemson where he served as the Tigers’ offensive coordinator from 2011-14.  According to the Greenville News, he joined the staff as a volunteer consultant to head coach Dabo Swinney.

It’s been a rough few years for Morris, who has struggled to find any success at his last three stops. After being fired at Arkansas he spent one year as Auburn’s offensive coordinator (2020) before taking the head coaching job at Allen High School in Texas (2021). In his one season at Allen, the Eagles finished 11-3 which marked the school’s worst record since 2005.

Hog fans rarely miss the chance to dunk on Morris any time his name is in the news. Last night was no different as, in poetic fashion, Morris’ return to Clemson’s staff coincided with a blowout loss to an unranked conference foe.

Here’s a collection of the some of the best reactions from Arkansas fans.
