Arkansas finds themselves in another basketball recruiting battle for a five-star prospect. This time it is one of the best on the Nike circuit, Karter Knox. The 2024 small forward also has NBA in his bloodlines.

The 6’5 180 pound prospect from Tampa, (Fla.) has averaged a Nike EYBL high 21.2 points per game on 53.5-percent from the field this spring. He’s done some damage on the boards as well hauling in 4.5 rebounds.

During his junior year at Tampa Catholic, Knox averaged 20 points, 10 rebounds and three assists in 30 games.

His older brother, Kevin, played for Kentucky during the 2017-18 season. Then, was drafted in the first round by the New York Knicks.

The Razorbacks found themselves in solid company with Auburn, LSU, Florida State, Louisville, Kentucky and South Florida as the top college suitors. Knox is also has interest in going the G-League routed, too.

247sports has ranked the younger Knox as the 8th overall prospect in the country. He is rated as second best small forward and second best player in the state of Florida.

So far, the only recruiting service with a scouting report on Knox is 0n3.

Karter Knox is a lengthy and explosive wing. His frame is very projectable and already physically developed, and he has broad shoulders with arms that flow down; should add good weight relatively easily once he gets to a college strength and conditioning program. He is a straight-line driver off the bounce. Gets into the paint and violently attacks the rim, playing way above it. He plays well out of the dunker spot, is an apt back door cutter, and attacks the offensive boards. Would like to see him develop the jump shot more, at least become average in the catch and shoot.

The form and release are OK, balance points and trajectory are inconsistent. He is a strong straight-line driver, needs to develop a counter or two if he gets his path cut off. There is a lot of upside defensively. He has great length with quick twitch and explosion. Can switch down a line up and guard fours also the athleticism to run with twos and threes. Will need to continue tightening the mechanics and keeping a consistent motor. Is the younger brother of NBAer Kevin Knox.”

Razorback basketball hasn’t landed a 2024 high school prospect yet. However, they have found themselves in the race to sign some of the nation’s finest. Jase Richardson, Tre Johnson and Dallas Thomas are all high on the Razorbacks.
