Jordan Walsh has officially declared for the 2023 NBA Draft but will retain his college eligibility.

The former McDonalds All-American shared his intentions with 247 Sports. “I want to thank God for helping me get to where I am today. My parents, who have always been there for me and always looked out and made sure I was able to get to these practices and workouts. They’ve traveled to every single game so they can cheer me on personally every time.

“I want to thank them because without them none of this would be possible. With that being said, I will be declaring for the NBA Draft, but I will still be maintaining my college eligibility.”

Walsh’s time at Arkansas was a bit up-and-down, but his performance down the stretch help
catapult the Hogs pass Illinois and Kansas in the NCAA Tournament. After just one season, he averaged 7.1
points, 3.9 rebounds, and 43.3 FG%. He accumulated 255 points, 141 rebounds, 33 assists, and
40 steals in his time as a Hog. Jordan Walsh will join fellow Hogs Nick Smith Jr, Ricky Council IV,
Devo Davis, and Anthony Black in moving onto the next level.

Early in the season, Walsh was included in mock drafts around the country, but his inconstant
season knocked him off most of them. However, his late season surge and lockdown defense
has brought his draft hopes back to life. The latest 2023 NBA mock drafts predicts Walsh being drafted in the early to middle second round.

At the time of this writing, Walsh’s departure brings the scholarship count back to 12 assuming he and Devo Davis decide to stay in the draft after testing the NBA waters.
