Coach Pittman deletes twitter?

Tough week at the office, eh? It appears the Razorbacks head football coach, Sam Pittman has taken enough heat on his social media account that he deactivated it on Wednesday. Was it personal shots from fans that drew the ire of Coach? It’s highly possible. But, it is a great idea to distance himself away from the noise and concentrate on getting his program back on track.

Arkansas lost to BYU on Saturday following not just one blown double digit lead but two. Whether it be to offensive line struggles or bad decisions to go shotgun on fourth-and-1 with a 6-foot-3, 250 pound quarterback, the Hogs coach has taken plenty of heat over the home loss.

The Razorbacks rolled up 31 points and 424 yards including an 87-yard punt return by Isaiah Sategna. Arkansas’ fast 14-0 start was short-lived as the Cougars continued to fight back take the lead before the Hogs kicked a field goal at halftime. After extending their lead to 10 after an AJ Green touchdown, BYU scored the final 17 points to a 7-point victory.

If the struggles continue and the Razorbacks lose most of their next four road games the noise could get louder and the heat on Pittman’s seat could grow hotter, unfortunately. Win a few games especially in Death Valley against LSU and the hate could subside for a moment.
