Greg Jr. was diagnosed last week with a large brain tumor that required emergency surgery. Doctors successfully performed the procedure Friday to remove the mass, and we are awaiting biopsy results
We are grateful for the work and care of the medical staff helping Greg through these challenges and for the concern and love poured out by so many in the Louisiana, Arkansas and national sports communities.
This means the world to us at this difficult time.
Greg continues to fight, and we await further clarity on the extent of that battle. His incredible strength of character gives us confidence, but we also know that he needs our support now more than ever. Please keep Greg and our family in your prayers.

Last season was Brooks best as a collegiate recording 66 tackles, 3 TFL, and 1 sack. He also forced 2 INT during his first season as a Tiger.
Brian Kelly met with media members during the weekly SEC Teleconference and stated that Brooks dealt with vertigo during the summer. That ended up being a symptom of tumor. The symptom reoccurred last week which led to Brooks having a MRI that revealed the tumor.
It’s unclear at this point if Brooks will play football again this season. However, in typical Brooks’ fashion he still hoped to play.
“[Brooks] was pretty clear about playing again this year,” Kelly said. “That’s Greg Brooks for you.”
LSU will meet Arkansas in the Battle For the Golden Boot in Baton Rouge at Tiger Stadium on Saturday beginning at 6 PM.
