Four-Time Champion Taking Former Hog Under His Wing

Former Arkansas star and current Golden State Warrior, Moses Moody, hosted his basketball camp in Little Rock over the weekend. The camp was free for kids, and was held at Southwest High School. The camp had an amazing turnout, and featured a special guest… a guest that campers wouldn’t have expected.

With former Warriors guard Jordan Poole being shipped to Washington, the chance to be the first guard off the bench for Golden State is wide open. Moses Moody showed last season he was ready to take the next step into playing more meaningful minutes, and he’s had help from one of the best shooters of all time, Klay Thompson. The four-time champion Thompson has taken pride in his mentor role, so much so that he made the almost six hour flight to Little Rock from San Fransisco, just to support Moody at his first camp.

Having the opportunity to learn from one of the league’s greats like Thompson, would be an incredible experience for any young player. But, because of Moody and Thompson’s similar play-style, Moody’s chance to learn grows even more.

Coming into the league, Moody achieved the ultimate goal as an NBA player. Not only did Moody and the Warriors win the NBA Finals, but he won it as a rookie. Now entering his third year, Moody, Thompson, and others, are looking for another ring. The key piece for the Warriors to make another run will be Moses, and because of Klay’s help, he’s ready.
