INTERVIEW: 2025 Hog QB commit high on Pittman, Enos. Plus, follow up from Hog Wild Hangout

From the sound of things, it seems like Central Arkansas Christian quarterback Grayson Wilson is excited to be a Razorback. A natural born leader, the 6’3 185 pound passer believes that Arkansas is continuing to trend upwards under Sam Pittman and new offensive coordinator Dan Enos.

The term ‘all Hog’ is pretty generic but means a lot when it comes to instate players wanting to play for the flagship program in the state.

“My recruitment is shutdown. Yeah, I’ve had an offer from Oklahoma State but that’s it… no other school’s are contacting me,” Wilson said.

Hog Wild Hangout

The biggest recruiting weekend of the summer was this week and it seemed to be very fun, proactive and turned heads of quite a few prospects.

“The Hog Wild Hangout was fun and different…it wasn’t like a camp or visit,” Wilson said. “It was just cool to hangout with a lot of the guys already committed. But, there were several other players uncommitted. It was great.”

One of the exciting moments happened when 2025 safety Marcus Wimberly announced he wanted to be a Razorback.

“So, Pittman was talking to us as a group and was saying that there was 15 commits sitting in this room right now. Then, [Wimberly] stood up and said, now there’s 16!”

A pair of uncommitted prospects that seemed to have a good time were 2025 4-star OL Devin Harper and 4-star LB Elijah Melendez.

“On Devin Harper, I like him. He was in my group for games…trying to get him on board,” Wilson said.

“With [Elijah Melendez], He’s one of the top players in the nation and from Florida. I’ve heard some good stuff from here and is looking to come back in the fall for a game,” said Wilson.

Down to Business

It wasn’t all fun and games for the Natural State’s top quarterback for 2025. He said that it was business as usual with Enos and fellow 2024 QB commit KJ Jackson.

“Before we went into games, we were hanging out in QB room watching film with [KJ] Jackson,” said Wilson. With Enos we were going over several passing concepts.”

His view on Arkansas

Wilson believes that Arkansas continues to be on the right direction. He continually is impressed with the culture, the addition of Enos and several of the other new hires. His relationship is strong with Pittman but says coach is like that with everybody.

“The big thing with Pittman is he is family first,” Wilson said. “The culture background, putting players first and always gives mama’s a hug. It’s not always football with him. He cares about things outside of football.”

One thing outside of team culture has been accountability for improvement each week. That’s something that Wilson said is key for Arkansas as they continue to move up in the Southeastern Conference.

“Development and improvement everyday… you have to come in and be better,” Wilson said.

Upcoming High School Season

“Last year we were 2-8, we were young and are still young,” said Wilson. “Our new head coach isRyan Howard who played at UCA and was graduate assistant with the Bears. He spent last season with Missouri… an awesome guy! He’s helped a lot with my throwing form and reading defenses… he’s definitely helped me get better.”

Wilson is currently rated a three star according to 247sports. He is also ranked as the 30th overall quarterback prospect in the country and 3rd overall prospect in the state of Arkansas.

The central part of the state has produced several quality players in the 2025 recruiting cycle including Omarion Robinson (Parkivew), Quentin Murphy (Robinson) and Daniel Anderson (Bryant).
