Just like any odd number year Arkansas endures a lot of mileage

College football travel isn’t a hot topic from year to year like in the NFL or the NBA, but it can be equally important. Long flights and body clock adjustments add up over the course of a long season, especially in the SEC where the pressure only gets bigger from week to week and one-off night can ruin the biggest of dreams. Bookies.com looked at the schedule for every SEC college football team to compute the linear distance each team will travel in miles for the 2023 season.

The Razorbacks have a huge six game stretch midseason that will see them travel in five matchups. The furthest they will travel will be to Gainesville, (Fla.) once again. Florida will be hosting Arkansas for their first “black out” game in program history where the Gators will wear black helmets and jerseys.

Arkansas’ shortest distance to travel is Arlington, Texas where they’ll “play host” to Texas A&M. The matchups with Ole Miss and Alabama are the next two closest followed by LSU.

Who’s not traveling so far? Defending College Football Playoff Champions, Georgia Bulldogs are only traveling a total of 1,741 miles this year – the fewest of any Power 5 team.

Five SEC Teams that will travel most

1. Florida- 8352 miles

2. Auburn- 7836 miles*

Auburn doesn’t have to travel much each road game but they do have a long trip in week two when they face Cal. That game takes 4188 miles from home.

3. Vanderbilt- 6351 miles

4. Texas A&M- 5539 miles

5. Arkansas- 4748 miles
