Razorback Football: Live updates of Arkansas’ opponents, destinations

Wednesday evening, the SEC announced each football program’s 2024 schedule.

There was plenty of emphasis on continuing historical matchups at least for this season, according to ESPN’s Chris Low.

The SEC made it a priority to maintain the historical rivalries in 2024. Alabama will play at Tennessee and LSU, for instance, while Texas A&M will face LSU at home and Arkansas at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Also, Texas will travel to Arkansas in a meeting of old Southwest Conference rivals, and Oklahoma and Texas will continue their annual rivalry at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. Georgia will keep its annual rivalries with Auburn, Florida and Tennessee.

All 14 existing SEC schools will play either Oklahoma or Texas in 2024, with sources telling ESPN that Georgia will visit Texas and Alabama will travel to face Oklahoma.

Early Wednesday morning, it was leaked from the Texas Longhorn side that they would face a tall task early on in their SEC arrival.

Texas’ 2024 conference schedule in debut season in SEC, @ChipBrown247 reports, includes:

* road games at Texas A&M & Arkansas
* Oklahoma in Dallas

Having to go on the road against the two-time defending national champions is one thing. However, having to travel to two of their biggest rivals will be great storylines for 2024. Arkansas fans fondly remember the previous two times they have played Texas, two major whippings. Will there be more or the same in 2024?
