Let the off-season honors and accolades flood in.

ESPN’s staff released a column today ranking the top ten returning running backs in the country and included Arkansas star, Raheim “Rocket” Sanders.”

WHAT THEY SAID:

“How do you fly under the radar with a nickname like

Rocket? But that’s exactly what happened with Sanders last season thanks to Arkansas’ subpar 7-6 finish. The offense as a whole struggled, due in large part to quarterback KJ Jefferson battling injuries.

But Sanders more than held up his end of the bargain, ranking second in the SEC in rushing yards (1,443) and third in rushing touchdowns (10). A healthy Jefferson could make a speedy Sanders even better, and the two could form one of the best QB-RB rushing duos in the SEC.”

Sanders has become a dynamic playmaker out of backfield. He runs with authority and displays above average speed for a player his size (6’2 237 pounds).

The junior out of Florida can also catch the ball well recording 39 receptions for 390 yards and three touchdowns as a Razorback.

For much of the first three quarters of the 2022 season Sanders paced the SEC in rushing yards before being overtaken by standout freshman, Quinshon Judkins, at Ole Miss.

Arkansas hopes Sanders can build off his breakout sophomore campaign that saw him rush for at least 170 yards on three occasions. Against Ole Miss, Sanders rushed for a career high 232 yards and three touchdowns.
