Top-50 recruit includes Arkansas in top schools

Recruiting for the Razorbacks has seriously taken a turn for the better. Arkansas is on another highly recruited player’s top schools list.

Selman Bridges of Lake Belton High School is bona fide four-star. 247Sports composite rates him at .97, just below five-star status. Bridges is ranked the No. 51 player in the country, No. 5 cornerback, and No. 10 player in the state of Texas.

As a junior, he helped his team make a Texas 5A Division I playoff appearance and finish the season with an 8-3 record. He recorded 46 tackles (26 solo), two interceptions, one pick-six, and six passes deflected.

The Temple, TX native is a also a multi-sport athlete. As a sophomore, he played both basketball and ran track & field. At 6’3, 170 pounds, Bridges plays forward in basketball. He averaged 4.1 points and 3.9 rebounds per game as a sophomore. In track, he runs the 200-meters and triple jumped. His fastest time in the 200 was 22.91. For triple jump his longest was 41-5.75.

Arkansas is in good company on Bridges top-nine. He also named Texas A&M, LSU, Oregon, USC, Texas, Texas Tech, TCU, and Oklahoma. He has an official visit to Arkansas scheduled for June 13th, 2023.
