WATCH: Hog DB Commit Makes Huge INT In Nationally Televised Game

In case you missed it, new 2026 Arkansas commit made an exceptional play on a ball to force an interception in his team’s game on Saturday.

Defensive back Tay Lockett, forced an interception off an unbalanced pass by St. Thomas Aquinas (Fla.) QB Andrew Indorf with 9:39 remaining in the fourth quarter. With a 17-7 St. John Bosco preserved a victory off the play by Lockett and ended up winning 20-7.

There are currently no statistics to share about Lockett’s whole game but it was nice to see a key play by someone that’s only a sophomore.

Following his breakout freshman season, bMaxPreps named to their freshman all-American team. The talented DB recorded 92 tackles, 2 tackles for loss, 7 interceptions, 9 pass breakups, 5 recovered fumbles and 3 forced fumbles at San Diego University City High School before transferring to St. John Bosco.

Before the 2023 season began accolades continued to flock in for Lockett when he was awarded a spot on the Preseason MaxPreps Sophomore All-America Football Team.

Lockett is currently an unranked prospect like most in the 2026 class. However, he possesses such upside that has him thought to be a future five-star prospect when the next evaluation period begins.
