How did Hog and CFB fans react to the Golden Boot Rivalry Game?

Same story, second verse.

The Arkansas Razorbacks burned themselves on several occasions with ill-advised timeouts in the third quarter. Then, almost ending drives before it began by repetitive false starts in LSU territory. The Razorbacks took a 10-point lead in the second quarter but couldn’t contain Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas, Jr. from gashing the defense during the second half.

Neither the Hogs or Tigers could stop either offense as each team scored on every drive after halftime. Both teams were above 60-percent on third down conversions while completing passes for nearly 10 yards per attempt. The Hogs kept the LSU offense off the field with solid clock management but big plays were killer in the second half with the Tigers finding open field of 20+ yards on 7 plays.

Here was my immediate thoughts regarding the 34-31 loss in Baton Rouge. Moral victories shouldn’t be accepted during year for of a coaching tenure. This team still displays fight and holding onto the rope that they are close to winning many football games this fall.

With the clock winding down and no timeouts at their disposal, should Arkansas have allowed LSU to score to preserve time for KJ Jefferson and the offense to fight for overtime?

Shoutout to KJ Jefferson who tied Matt Jones’ school record for total career touchdowns with 77.

Luke Hasz had a huge breakout performance in his fourth college football game ever. The Bixby, (Okla.) native caught six passes for 116 yards and 2 touchdowns on the night. Is he in line to become a Freshman All-American? He’s certainly playing like one.

Even outsiders were entertained by the LSU-Arkansas game.
